Story Sprout is an AI-powered storytelling tool designed for children and their caregivers to turn imaginative stories into personalized coloring books. Using the prithivMLmods/Coloring-Book-Flux-LoRA model it generates coloring page images with consistent characters and styles, making it easy to bring young storytellers’ ideas to life. By blending storytelling with visual creativity, Story Sprout encourages imagination, literacy development, and healthy digital engagement, providing a collaborative space where kids and caregivers can create together.

This project was developed as part of the Capstone Project for the Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS) program at UC Berkeley’s School of Information. Special credit goes to Kristen Cirincione, whose original idea laid the foundation for Story Sprout. Our team brings together expertise in data science, machine learning, education, and user experience to create a tool that supports early literacy and creative expression.
